                                                             A conquista da certificação Internacional, novo avanço na Educação de Criação de Valor

O Colégio Soka conquista uma importante certificação, pela The International Baccalaureate® (IB), integrando um seleto grupo de escolas no Brasil.

O IB tem como slogan "Por um mundo melhor", em plena sintonia com os ideias humanísticos da Educação Soka, marca quase centenária, com uma rede de ensino que vai do Infantil às conceituadas Universidades pelo mundo.

A certificação chega num dia bastante especial, 6 de junho, data em que o Colégio Soka celebra 17 anos de atividades em solo brasileiro, com início nos ensinos Infantil e Fundamental I e II e há menos de dois anos com o Ensino Médio, inaugurando a sede própria em janeiro de 2017.

“Para nós é uma grande honra essa certificação, em plena sintonia com as bases da educação humanística que defendemos. E sela nosso compromisso de oferecer um ambiente de desenvolvimento, respeito e senso crítico a nossos alunos”, enfatiza o diretor James Yamauti.

A CERTIFICAÇÃO – O processo levou dois anos e meio, com uma criteriosa avaliação feita pelos consultores da instituição. A International Baccalaureate, ou simplesmente IB, foi fundada em 1968 com sede em Genebra, na Suíça. É uma organização não governamental com status consultivo perante a UNESCO, guiada por sua missão maior de formar cidadãos do mundo por meio da educação.

Com a certificação oficializada, nossos alunos, ao término do Ensino Médio, terão maiores chances de concorrer a bolsas em universidades do exterior e do Brasil. “Cidadãos do mundo, conscientes de seu papel na edificação de um mundo de paz”, reforça James.

Achieving International Certification, New Advancement in Value-Creating Education

The Soka School achieves an important certification by the International Baccalaureate®, or IB, which recognizes a selective number of schools in Brazil.

The IB’s slogan is "Education for a better world." It is in complete harmony with the humanistic ideals of Soka Education. The development of Soka education marks almost a centenary that comprises a network that ranges from pre-schools to universities around the world.

The certification was awarded on June 6th, which happens to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the school’s founding in Brazil. The Soka school started with its pre-school, followed by the elementary and middle schools. The inauguration of the new school building and addition of the high school program in 2017 took less than two years to accomplish.

"It is our great honor to receive this certification, which is in full harmony with the foundation of the humanistic education that we uphold. And it is our commitment to provide a learning environment that fosters growth, respect, and critical thinking abilities for our students,” states the school principal, James Yamauti.

THE CERTIFICATION - The process took two and a half years after a careful and rigorous assessment of the Soka School by IB consultants. The IB was founded in 1968 with its headquarters based in Geneva, Switzerland. It is a non-governmental organization with links to UNESCO and is informed by its overarching mission to foster global citizens through quality education.

With this official IB certification, high school students will have greater chances of being awarded scholarships from both domestic and international universities. "Our aim is to foster global citizens who are aware of their role in contributing to world peace," James asserts.
